It is a time to let that special someone know just how you feel. It may be that women will want to take advantage of Leap Year and make that long awaited marriage proposal, using Valentines Day as a lead in to popping the question. Perhaps you are just looking for a funky idea and a different way to say "I love you". Whatever your reason here are a few Valentines ideas to get you started.
Instead of dinner out:
Why not cook dinner served by candle light? If you don't think your culinary skills are up to it arrange an out caterer for the evening. Perhaps you both like takeaways - takeaway by candle light, now that's novel.
Try a picnic on the living room floor: cheese, wine and bread all spread on a rug or blanket on the floor. Don't forget to turn up the music.
Rather than red roses and chocolate:
Ask the parents of your special romantic interest what they really wanted more than anything when they were young. This will be especially romantic for the ladies and will work well. Perhaps they had always wanted a porcelain doll...imagine their surprise and pleasure when that's what you give them.
Why not give them the roses but in the bunch include a silk rose. Attach a note to the silk rose reading: "I will love you until the last rose fades."
This is an idea especially for the ladies. Buy her charm bracelet and 14 charms. For each day of February hide a charm in a place that she will find it. On the 14th day give her the bracelet.
These are just a few Valentines ideas to get you thinking about how to treat your Valentine with special attention on this special February day.
